· NOT_DEFINED description: The poster aims to present the main outputs of the Euromed Survey. A survey carried out during 2009, addressed to actors and experts in the Euro-Mediterranean relations to assess the progress, achievements and shortcomings of the Barcelona Process. The survey is part of the programme “Promoting mutual awareness, understanding and cooperation between the European Union (EU) and the European Neighbourhood Region (South)”, co-funded by the European Union through the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) The objectives of the Survey, and thus the main contents of the poster are: to assess progress, achievements and shortcomings in the different areas of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership in a broad sense. That is, taking into account the Southern and regional dimensions of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Union for the Mediterranean, and to identify the major Mediterranean trends with a forward-looking approach and articulate policy proposals to cope with the major challenges the region is bound to face in the coming years. The targeted sample to answer the Survey consists of over 430 experts, actors and policy-makers from the 44 countries of the Mediterranean and the European Union. The sample has been selected according to the knowledge of and involvement in the Euro-Mediterranean Process from among university researchers, think tanks and the media, diplomats and central and local government officials in charge of Euro-Mediterranean issues and cooperation, political representatives, NGO activists and network members, trade-unionists and businesspeople and officers from international organisations directly involved in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, such as the EU and the Arab League. The Survey will be repeated annually -partly with the same core panel-, to cover a whole spectrum of policy issues and monitor developments in Euro-Mediterranean realities, perceptions and policies. The report of the survey will be elaborated by the principal experts and editors of the Survey Report Iván Martín, Economist and Researcher, Instituto Complutense de Estudios Internacionales and Erwan Lannon, Professor in European Law, University of Ghent and College of Europe (Bruges & Natolin), Associate Researcher to the EU Institute of Security Studies.
