World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies

Barcelona, July 19th - 24th 2010

The scientific programme will include:
- The panels, roundtables, papers and poster abstracts selected between December 2008 and December 2009
- The keynote lectures of the speakers invited by the committees

Meetings in conjunction with WOCMES:
- Institutions, organisations or associations planning their annual meeting, conference, seminar or reception in the framework of WOCMES

The cultural programme will include:
- WOCMES exhibition on campus
- WOCMES exhibition and cultural activities in Barcelona
- Film Festival showcasing a range of films recently released from across the Middle East and North Africa

The Book Fair will offer:
- Exhibition booth for publishers, editors, university presses, booksellers and authors wishing to promote their publications to the academic community of WOCMES Barcelona 2010
- Exhibition space for universities, research institutions and non-governmental institutions willing to provide information about their activities and contribution to Middle Eastern culture

Social Events programme will include:
- Receptions that will offer the participants and their partners the opportunity to get to know other guests at the congress and the attractive city of Barcelona
- Artistic performance in the congress venue

Sightseeing programme
- Optional full or half day tours allowing participants to discover the city of Barcelona and the region of Catalonia
