With more than 2600 scholars and experts scheduled to attend this year´s World Conference for Middle Eastern Studies, it can be a challenge to keep up with all wealth of captivating panels and cultural events. To help participants plan for the week, WOCMES has posted a comprehensive Scientific Program schedule, which includes all panels, roundtables, poster presentations and meetings in conjunction.

Collective Book Displays
|
|
WOCMES will offer an opportunity for smaller, independent publishing houses and scholars to display individual titles on collective displays arranged and managed by the Congress offering the chance participate in this year´s book fair, reaching the Congress´ thousands of participants and attendees. The WOCMES Cultural Calendar
|
|
In addition to a rich academic program, WOCMES Barcelona 2010 will also offer a full schedule of cultural events at locations on the UAB campus and beyond. Concerts, plays and art exhibitions will be held both on-campus and across the city. All events will be open and without charge to registered WOCMES attendees. A schedule of all events, times and locations can be found on the WOCMES Website.

Program Advertising
|
|
All advertising submissions for this year´s WOCMES program, distributed up to more than 2500 attendees, will need to be submitted before the 14th of June to be included. For more information, visit the WOCMES Website or contact us directly at wocmes@iemed.org

Registration Now
|
|
Avoid long lines and additional registration fees by using WOCMES´s online registration service, which will be open until the opening of the Congress. However, registration after the 21st of June will include additional fees.This includes on-site registration.

On-Campus Accommodation is Still Available but Limited
|
|
A selection of comfortable and affordable accommodations located on-site of this year´s WOCMES are still available for attendees but availability is limited. Further housing information, including a roommate finder and information about off-site hotels can be found on the WOCMES Website.

Cultural Tours
|
|
Allowing attendees to take a break from the Congress and explore the host city of Barcelona, WOCMES has put together a selection of cultural and touristic tours that can now be booked online through our Website. Attendees will also find an on-site stand provided by representatives of Barcelona Tourism for additional information.

WOCMES Film Festival
|
|
The WOCMES BCN 2010 Film Festival will showcase 10 feature films and 10 documentaries recently released in the Middle East and North Africa. The International Association of Independent Producers of the Mediterranean (APIMED) has selected films that deal with issues of interest for the congress' participants. The festival will run from Sunday 18 to Friday 23 July at the UAB campus theater, running in a continuous program from 10am until 10pm every day. The final program will be announced soon.
