OPEN: Call for Chairs and Discussants

WOCMES has opened the call for persons desiring to volunteer their services as “Chair” or “Discussant” of put-together panels (the panels that were assembled from individual paper submissions). The Chair is the moderator of the session, while the Discussant plays the role of the critic providing constructive discussion topics. We would appreciate it if you could check the list of put together panels, and submit the application until May 5th indicating the panels of your choice. Spring is here, are you registered?

At WOCMES Secretariat we welcomed the spring, and with it the last quarter of a year before the Congress. In this occasion we would like to invite those who have not registered to complete their registration by paying the fees. And those who are still undecided to take another look at our program which is starting to unveil by now upon having all accepted papers published on our Scientific Program web page. Check our Social Events section, the Book Fair and the Film Festival. Don’t miss the chance of taking part in the Olympics of Middle Eastern studies, for WOCMES comes only once every 4 years!

WOCMES Barcelona 2010 Book Fair

So far WOCMES Barcelona 2010 has about 20 exhibitors scheduled to present their publications at the Book Fair of the congress. And as the space is getting tighter, we would like to invite interested institutions, organizations and companies to apply and book a space as soon as possible for our policy is that of first-come first-served.
